(Oct.13, Marple Campus) Pianist Ju-Ping Song will be in concert at DCCC’s Marple Campus Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. The program will be in the Academic Building’s large auditorium. The concert will last an hour, followed by a 15-minute Q&A.
Ju-Ping Song will perform her new multimedia and experimental works. She uses electric sounds and visuals, and will display rare piano techniques.
The Department of Communication, Arts, and Humanities is hosting this event. Ju-Ping Song is part of the department’s fall concert series. Each concert differs stylistically depending on the artist.
According to Richard Belcastro, assistant professor of music and concert organizer, Song’s work is challenging and rewarding. “The goal is to give students an opportunity to explore modern classical music.”
General admission tickets are $10. However, attendance is free for students and employees with a valid DCCC ID. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on DCCC’s website.
