DCCC students have their artwork displayed at the Media Arts Council through March 26. The show showcases artwork from students in the Studio Associate of Fine Arts.
This is the first time an art exhibit from DCCC has been at the MAC. Art Professor Matthew Sepielli said, “They made great work, and I approached MAC about showing their paintings there- MAC said yes and here we are.”
The students involved were: Raven Amaro, Kayla Nicole Carter, Olivia Rose Cooks, Desiree Dixon, Killian Everly, Samantha Kantner, Paloma Lopez, Seana Monahan, Elizabeth Obeng, Lissa Ortega, Sidney Ott and Toby Radle.
Students in the program take a variety of courses such as drawing, painting, three-dimensional design, color theory and art history.
Prof. Sepielli is proud of his students. “I think the work they’ve made is a partial testament to how hard they’ve worked and the enormous potential they have as young artists.”
Most of the artwork can be purchased at the MAC. Thursday and Friday from 11-3 p.m., Saturday from 10-5 p.m. and Sunday from 12-4 p.m. It is located at 11 East State Street Media, PA.
