DCCC celebrated the season of giving this week in more ways than one. On Nov. 27, the College had provided students with Thanksgiving meals. This is a tradition since 2020 after conducting a survey that showed roughly 25% of its students experience financial insecurities.

Provided by Philabundance, the College provided 125 students with turkeys, meals, and Acme gift cards for their families.

On Nov. 29, the school celebrated “Giving Tuesday.” This year, the Educational Foundation continued the tradition at DCCCC by taking in gifts from the community to help raise money to give students scholarships.

Steven F., Richard D. DeCosmo, a Presidential Scholarship recipient, said, “Delaware County Community College has provided me with the opportunity that I couldn’t have imagined before.”

Delaware County Community College has made sure to leave a positive mark on its community this holiday season.
