Delaware County Community College will be hosting a Winter Wonderland Dance on Dec. 2 on the Marple Campus. Sponsored by the Student Government Association, with help from the Campus Life Department, the dance will transform the main floor of Founders Hall from 7 to 10 p.m. for a wintery celebration.
Coming off a successful Spring Formal earlier in the year, the Campus Life Department was eager to find another after-hours event to help students engage with one another and the school. This event is intended to have a lighter tone, with light refreshments and a casual dress code.
There will also be a DJ spinning some music for students to enjoy and a gift card door prize for early guests who arrive before 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for students and one guest each, via the Campus Life Ticketleap page.
Cara Fordenbacher, a coordinator in Athletics and Student Engagement Office, said the dance offers a chance for students who school from home or through evening classes a chance to participate and get to know their classmates. “It’s about building a community,” Fordenbacher said, stating that opposed to other day-time events, these dances provide a “different way, maybe even a more meaningful way, to connect with students.
