DCCC is hosting a CONTEMPORARY Juried Exhibition of Regional Emerging Artists through Dec. 16 at the Marple Campus Academic Building Art Gallery, Room 2305, juried by Alex Klein, Dorothy and Stephen R. Weber (CHE ‘60) Senior Curator at the ICA Philadelphia.

The Juried Exhibition features 39 pieces from regional emerging artists living and working in and around the Philadelphia region. It is juried by Alex Klein, Dorothy and Stephen R. Weber (CHE ‘60) Senior Curator at the ICA Philadelphia. The exhibition is to create a platform for critical discourse through an exchange of ideas, and to push the boundaries of an age-old practice.

In addition to the exhibition, we invite the juror to lecture about their personal work and practice. The juror’s talk is free and open to the public and is presented in the large auditorium on the College’s Marple Campus.

The Jurors’ Choice was awarded to Henry Morales, Descansando (Resting), 2022. First Place went to Julianna Foster, Geographical Lore, sal mountain, 2022.  Second Place went to Chelsey Luster, Mama’s Bathroom, 2019. Third Place went to Sean Starowitz, The Wood Began to Move, 2022.
