DCCC men’s basketball team is gearing up for its first home game tonight at 7 p.m., taking on Delaware Technical Community College in a new Phantoms house, FiDonce Gym, 15 East 21st Street in Chester.

The team started the season with a three-game road stretch that has the Phantoms standing at 1-2 heading into tonight’s game. Head Coach Darius Gilbert has seen a pair of returners, Foday Wagay and Daeshon Green, setting the tone in workouts. “Foday has displayed an increased level of team leadership.”

Gilbert assumes a new role this season as head coach after five years as assistant coach.  Andrew Harmon has joined the program as a volunteer assistant coach. 

FiDonce will serve as Phantoms home court all season. Head Coach Darius Gilbert is excited to settle in. “I cannot thank FiDonce and DCCC enough for giving us the opportunity to have this home gym now.”
