Delaware County Council has joined Operation Green Light, a national collaborative initiative of the National Association of Counties to support military Veterans.
This program, which runs through Nov. 13, hopes to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by many Veterans, and calls attention to the resources available at the county, state, and federal level to assist Veterans and their families.
Residents are encouraged to change one light bulb in their houses to a green bulb to show collective appreciation for Veterans.
Delaware County Council Chair Dr. Monica Taylor said, “By shining a green light, we are letting Veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.”
