Many communities throughout Chester County hold events to honor those who are serving or who have served and sacrificed on, or near Veterans Day.
A Veterans Recognition Breakfast hosted by the Chester County Council of Boy Scouts on Nov. 11 at 7:30 a.m. at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, featuring keynote speaker William Mott, Garrison Sergeant Major, British Army.
Chester County Bar Association’s Annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Nov. 11 at 3:30 p.m. on the Chester County Historic Courthouse steps in West Chester.
American Legion Post 134 and the West Chester Veterans Council Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 12 at 10:00 a.m. on the Chester County Historic Courthouse steps in West Chester.
Chester County is also accepting applications from veterans who would like to serve on the County’s Veterans Affairs Advisory Council. The 15-member council advises, assists and supports the Chester County Department of Veterans Affairs in their provision of services to veterans and their families, and the Council currently has two vacancies.
