The Media Theatre will run productions of ‘Rent’ and ‘Matilda Jr.’ until the end of October. Located at 104 East State Street Media, Pa., it is Delaware County’s only professional music theatre. 

‘Rent,’ a modern retelling of Puccini’s La Boheme, is set in the East Village of New York City and follows impoverished young artists trying to make a life in the industry. It is a winner of the Tony Award for best musical. 

 ‘Matilda Jr.’ follows a highly-intelligent and special-powered child.  Based on Roald Dahl’s Tony-award winning hit musical, her cleverness and perseverance could result in her shining. 

To close out the year productions of ‘the Sound of Music’ and ‘Elf Jr.’ will be available in November. and December. respectively. The theatre provides quality musical theatre entertainment where new music is brought to life and as a leader in musical theatre education.
