DCCC’s Paralegal Studies Program determining if students can expunge or seal arrests or convictions.

Lauren Griffith, Communitarian Staff Writer

DCCC’s Paralegal Studies Program is helping students determine whether they are eligible to have certain prior arrests or convictions expunged or sealed from their record.  This aid will come from the Paralegal students, under the supervision of attorneys from the Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania.

Expungement is available for non-conviction dispositions, ARD, summary convictions, and some misdemeanor convictions.  The Director of Paralegal Studies, Nilufar A. Jamir said, “This is an opportunity of a lifetime and can change the course of a student’s life.”

Registration is now available for DCCC’s students until Oct. 1.  This DCCC exclusive event will take place on the Marple Campus on Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
